Support Fair Trade is the newest design to hit Veggie’s Shop! Inspired by its growing popularity (and our own buying habits), we’ve created this design to help spread awareness and support for the fair trade movement.

The base of the design is a heart, representing the compassion and admiration today’s small farmers deserve, yet rarely receive. Above the heart, two hands reach toward each other – and a common ground. The text spells out an important message: ‘Support Fair Trade.’

It’s easy to spot fairly traded goods…two images commonly found on fair trade products are the TransFair USA and Equal Exchange badges. Look for them the next time you’re shopping. It truly does make a world of difference.

I created this design rather quickly when asked to participate in CafePress’ Haiti Relief Effort Shop. All proceeds go to UNICEF earmarked specifically for aid to Haiti.

Hands to Work, Hearts to God, Help for Haiti

We’re starting to revamp our product offerings in all of our shops to better align with our ideals. When we’re done, you’ll only find eco-friendly threads from American Apparel and Econscious clothing. A majority of the tees will be organic, and all of them will be sweatshop-free!

The transition will take some time, but it’ll be well worth the effort. We feel that our t-shirts should do more than promote our ethics – they should be made of ‘em!
